APrIGF Working Group on Global Internet Governance Processes

ABOUT

The Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) Multistakeholder Steering Group (MSG) established the APrIGF Working Group on Global Internet Governance (IG) Processes as a platform for the APrIGF community to contribute perspectives from Asia Pacific to global policy processes and platforms on issues related to Internet Governance.

The Working Group on Global IG Processes was formed as an evolution from the APrIGF WSIS+20 Working Group which focussed on the WSIS+20 Review process.

SCOPE OF WORK
  1. To monitor developments around global Internet and digital governance issues, including key platforms particularlyIGF, WSIS, GDC, ITU, and their outcomes, in addition to other relevant UN processes -, on behalf of APrIGF community
  2. Encourage information, knowledge sharing and exchange within the APrIGF community on global Internet and digital governance issues and processes
  3. Contribute to these global IG processes through submissions, interventions and other forms of engagement, where feasible and where the WG has the capacity to add value on behalf of APrIGF
  4. Plan events / activities focusing on global IG processes for the APrIGF community between two APrIGF annual events
